How vtigerCRM supposed to be used?

Hi everyone, I have installed GoAutoDial and it seems working:
- Agent logs in to make phone calls, hangup, park and transfer calls and to call next customer.
- The Admin logs in to configure the Asterisk, Trunks, Campinas, List, agents and phone numbers, and report.
I doubt what the vtigerCRM module supposed to do? and how do I used it? I tried log in to the vtigerCRM system, and found that I can configure the Asterisk server etc in PBX manager menu.
Searched over google, and I managed to add numbers to vtigerCRM system, and ran the PHP file vtigercrm/cron/modules/PBXManager/AsteriskClient.php
But still I have no idea how should I used this module.
Thanks a lot if anybody can give a introduction.
